China / Walmart / USA

This week I have a television program on Wal-Mart and its operations has been spectacular in the world. Part of it was opening stores in China and there was a certain set of a young local Chinese "Associate" (employees) that I took, and opens a whole new way of thinking about the possible changes that might occur in our / Chinese relations.

Each Wal-Mart, the disclosure could be a center for a better understanding of the Chinese in the U.S.. Althoughdoes not intend any shops "Associates" would be U.S. diplomats.

In the U.S., Wal-Mart has been exchanged for taking Chinese. Replay many hundreds of products in your favorite stores. The products are obtained not only in China but in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and many other Asian countries. The quality is fine. The reason is because they are made of production costs so low that the products may be shipped 12,000 miles to your backyard at a price thatFind irresistible.

Nail Clippers or lawnmower - it makes no difference. The workers in these Asian countries and produce these products to buy U.S. companies in their country. Each sold yen or yuan, the profit for an American company. Wal-Mart plans 2,000 stores in China by a company started by Sam Walton in Arkansas - and still have their headquarters.

The feeling anti-Wal-Mart is a small group sponsored by localPeople supported and in many cases, by outside interests. As a child I remember the opposition to A & P grocery stores, like what you see against Wal-Mart today. They said they would be close to local grocery stores. You were right. Now answer. Want to quit Albertson's, Piggly Wiggly, Win-Dixie, A & P, etc. and return to the corner store? I think not.

Who has benefited most from this vast changing Marketing Operations? You, theConsumers.

What kind of a sentence, that young Chinese told the chief of Asia, Wal-Mart? About: "Working here gives a better understanding of other people." This is very deep, as evidenced by a new model of thinking about "others", namely the United States

Here is a chance that could change the thinking of Chinese in America. Imagine what 2000 Wal-Mart could do for international understanding and world peace. I'm too fat in this extrapolation? Maybe, butYou can bring the United States an opportunity to be in the basic fabric of Chinese culture to the people.

Let the diplomats to negotiate with the highest Chinese officials and hope that some of the variations of the "Associates" are filtered to their clients and then to the leader.
