USA Online Casinos Fighting Hard for Legislation

Online gambling in the USA has been on legal ground that is open to various interpretations ever since an appeals court ruling in 2002. In November of that year, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled that the Federal Wire Act prohibited electronic transmission of sports betting information across telecommunications lines. However, it also affirmed a lower court ruling that the Wire Act does not prohibit Internet gambling on games of chance. This spared

USA Basketball Team For 2008 Olympics

Finally after a lot of deliberation, the list of candidates for the USA basketball team for the 2008 Olympics was announced. Hopefully, this basketball team is all set to redeem itself after the poor show at the 2004 Olympics when USA won the bronze medal.

The list includes 21 NBA stars and has the names of some of the finest NBA players. They are Carmelo Anthony, Gilbert Arenas, Shane Battier, Chauncey Billups, Chris Bosh, Bruce Bowen, Elton Brand, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, LeBron James, Antawn Jamison, Joe Johnson, Shawn Marion, Brad Miller, Lamar Odom, Chris Paul, Paul Pierce, Michael Redd, Luke Ridnour, Amare Stoudemire, and Dwyane Wade.

J J Redick and Adam Morrison have also been invited; taking the roster to a total of 23 players.

The exclusion of Allen Iverson has raised a lot of media attention. However, it is felt that it could be because of Iverson's age and his style of playing that made the selectors exclude him from the roster. This is despite the important role he played in the 2004 Olympics.

According to national team manager Jerry Colangelo, the USA basketball is looking to form a team not of individual stars but of athletes, shooters, role players and distributors. Colangelo also hopes that Greg Oden, the high school basketball star, would be able to join the team for training this summer.

The selected players attended a training camp at Las Vegas followed by exhibition games in China and South Korea. Thereafter, a 12 man roster was selected for the World Championships in Japan.

2007 will see the team undergoing another training. This could be the regional Olympics qualifying. It will be followed by another training camp and exhibition games in 2008 just before the start of Beijing Olympics.

Tips on Investing in USA Oil Wells

Invest for yourself and investment in America future.

There are many oil rich areas in the USA. And there are many owner operators in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, etc. that need additional funding to perform more drilling and to rework older wells.

There are oil rich areas in the USA that produced lots of oil 80 years ago. People made a lot of money then. 40 years ago these same wells were pressured and they produced lots of oil. Many people again made lots of money. Now these same wells need to be worked on with newer technologies in order to produce more oil again. Some of the new technologies include horizontal drilling and nitrogen machines. The new technology is costly and there are endless opportunities.

Some leases were turned off when oil prices were low. Some just need to be worked on and turned on. Good operators know where good wells are and can perform new drills a few hundred feet away.

Investing in oil is not for everyone. Do not put your last $50,000 or $100,000 in oil. It is risky and there is no such thing as a guarantee, but if you have the cash to do a little risk taking own your own oil wells!

Here is a good starting tip if you want to pursue investing in USA oil. There are many "middle men" in oil or brokers. They set up companies claiming to own the oil, but typically they are just brokers. Be very careful and do your homework before giving anyone money. These brokers buy and mark up the oil and keep a portion for themselves. When investing in oil, deal directly with the owner/operator of the wells and do your background checks! They MUST have a credible geologist ON STAFF! And again do not deal with a broker! There are thousands of acres in the USA with oil. Find them and invest in them! You will be helping yourself while investing in Americas Future!

AmeriPlan USA Review - Can You Really Make Money Selling Health Plans?

AmeriPlan USA is a network marketing company that was started in 1992 and was founded by Dennis and Daniel Bloom. It's current headquarters is in Plano, Texas. The company's mission is to provide affordable health coverage to the average consumer. Currently, AmeriPlan USA has 50,000 independent distributors and operates in 44 states. This network of distributors is how they sell their flagship product, discount medical plans. They seem to be doing something right as their customer base has now exceeded 1,000,000.

According to the website, AmeriPlan is now the country's largest discount fee-for-service dental, vision, prescription and chiropractic program provider. Recently, the company has added medical benefits to it's lineup of services, including physician medical care, ancillary medical services, hospital advocacy and telemedicine.

As far as their business opportunity goes, you can get started for $49.95, which is an annual fee. Then, you will have to make a commitment to buy or sell $100 a month in services.

You can make commissions from the plans you sell or earn overrides on the plans your team sells (on 4 levels). In addition, there is a residual income you can build when your customer continue paying for their plan.

On top of that, although AmeriPlan USA started with a unilevel compensation plan, they have revamped their compensation plan to include a binary component. With this binary component, there are two different ways to make money. The first one is through Cycle Bonuses, and the second through Matching Bonuses. AmeriPlan has made a very generous claim, guaranteeing that 90% of the sales volume revenue will be paid out through the binary payouts.

Assuming you can consistently sponsor new people, get new customers and teach your people how to do the same, you can potentially make a very significant income with AmeriPlan's business opportunity, both upfront income and residual income.

In closing, AmeriPlan USA is definitely not a scam, but rather it is a credible and stable company offering a potentially lucrative opportunity. However, simply joining AmeriPlan USA will not automatically make you successful. The only thing AmeriPlan USA provides is an opportunity. Ultimately, your success will depend on your ability to learn and implement effective marketing techniques, brand yourself as a leader and generate 25-50 leads a day for your AmeriPlan business. My advice is to hook up with a high-quality self branded attraction marketing system that will show you how to do all three at the same time, while freeing you up to focus on other business-building activities. If you do this, you can be fast on your way to building a wildly successful business.

FIFA World Cup 2010: England Vs USA Preview

How well USA perform at the world cup in South Africa could boil down to the form of one man, Landon Donovan. Donovan is coming off a great season with Everton, in the English Premier League.

Another key player for the Americans is Tim Howard between the posts; Tim Howard has also honed his skills with Everton and has proved to be an extremely valuable footballer that USA can always rely on.

USA's game plan against their transatlantic rivals should hinge on counter-attack, but with a formidable England midfield in place, getting ball possession is going to be the primary problem for the United States' forwards. The best bet could be a counter-attack on the rebound that is led by Donovan, and supported by Clint Dempsey.

Oguchi Onyewu's bad knee has put USA's defence on the back foot, literally and metaphorically. They will have their hands full trying to keep Rooney and Lampard in check.

Additionally, Jozy Altidore, Edson Buddle and Herculez Gomes in the US forward line will have to play out of their skin if they aim to dent even an England defence that's bereft of Rio Ferdinand.

In the last five years the two teams have met twice, and England have had the measure of the North Americans, on both the occasions. In the nine games the teams have played in the past, England have won seven, with 43 goals scored between them.

Coach Bob Bradley's USA had a great showing in the Confederations Cup in 2009, where they registered a shock win over Spain, and in their match against Brazil took a two-goal lead before eventually going down to the South Americans. The Confederation Cup showing points to the Americans' ability to pull off upsets, while being inconsistent, by and large.

Fabio Capello's England have lost just four of the 24 games they haved played on the Italian coach's watch. They will rue Ferdinand's loss to injury, as they progress through the tournament. Whether King and Terry in the back line can hold up against the more potent attacks they are likely to face in South Africa remains to be seen.

In addition, there's a question mark over whether Gerrard and Lampard can combine well in the midfield. The team's Italian coach is likely to opt for Heskey to partner Rooney up front, although Heskey looked flat footed in the warm ups.

Regardless, England are overwhelming favorites to prevail over the Americans, in their opener, on Saturday.

Emigration to the USA - Want a Green Card For Talent?

Emigration - moving from one country to another - can radically change a person's life. Of course, the more developed the country of your choice is, the more difficult is to emigrate there. Developed countries build barriers to unregulated immigration and attempt to search for skills and talent among the crowds desiring to immigrate.

This article is for people who seek emigration to America which is among the countries with the most strict and difficult immigration laws. There are four ways to obtain a green card - a status of a permanent resident alien in the USA. One can immigrate on the basis of (a) family relations; (b) employment/professional skills; (c) by winning in a Diversity Lottery; or (d) by obtaining a status of refugee/political asylum. There are thousands and thousands US law firms working in the area of immigration. We - a law group of Milgrom & Associates - work on all kinds of immigration cases. But our primary area is helping those whose goal is emigration on the basis of their unique professional skills and talent. And in this area we perform certain services that, as far as we know, are not offered by any other American attorney or law firm.

Let's say you are a foreign inventor and have a new invention you want to patent in the USA, or if you are a programmer, wrote a new computer program, and want to protect and register your copyright in the USA, or you are a composer who wrote a symphony which needs protection in the USA... In other words, if you (a) don't live in the US, (b) created something valuable and (c) want to protect your intellectual property rights in America - we can help you in doing that. Some other law firms offer such services, too.

Let's further say that after taking steps to protect and register your rights you believe that there is a demand for your creation in America. Then we can assist in monetization of your intellectual property. We can search for a company interested in licensing, manufacturing, marketing and selling your invention, for example. Or look for buyers for your computer program. Or find performers for your symphony. And when those interested parties are found we will conduct negotiations with them, draft an agreement on your behalf, and otherwise protect your interests. Very few - if any - law firms in the US offer this kind of services to their foreign clients.

Finally, if your creation is commercially successful in America and emigration to the United States is your goal; we can help you and your family to get green cards - on the basis of that commercial success. As far as we know, nobody in the US offers all of the above as one package. These legal services offered by our firm are unique.

Also we assist foreign talents and professionally successful people from all walks of life - science, literature/theater/music, business, sports, and industry - in obtaining green cards. We help them and their families in their emigration to the US.

Emigration to the US on the basis of professional achievements, getting green card for talent is not an easy task. We will assist you in navigation of stormy emigration waters and bring your family ship into a safe harbor.

The Problem With USA Track & Field - There Simply is No Fire in the Belly

The U. S. National Track & Field Championship meet came and went recently with hardly a notice by its fan base and the nation's press. This happened because basically there is no fan base of marketing value, and the nation's traditional media (newspapers, television and radio) can hardly keep their doors open for business by covering a nonevent.

The American runners who used to dominate the world track scene have become so few and so lame as to be almost nonexistent. Our middle distance runners could muster only 1 of 36 possible medals from 800 meters to the marathon in last summer's 2008 Beijing Olympics. We can't even dominate the sprints anymore. Usain Bolt and the "Jamaica Me Fast" crowd has taken over track's sprint world.

Apparently, the most covered events of the recent national championship meet revolved around LaShawn Merritt, Sanya Richards and Dwight Phillips. To wit:

LaShawn Merritt took the 400 in 44.50. Merritt won the Gold Medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, beating rival Jeremy Wariner, then ranked No. 1 in the world. Wariner did not compete in the nationals this year. Wariner is apparently waiting for the right moment to sneak up on Merritt and run by him. Despite Merritt's success, he is far off of Michael Johnson's world and American record of 43.18 in 1999.

Sanya Richards won the 400 in 50.05, far off of her American record of 48.70 set in 2006. Richards holds the American high school record of 50.69 set in 2002. In other words, her victory at the nationals this year was 64 one-hundredths of a second faster than 7 years ago. You decide how much progress is being made.

Dwight Phillips won the long jump with a leap of 28-01.50 (8.57m). Phillips won the Gold Medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics and is chasing Mike Powell's world record of 8.95m set in 1991.

Hazel Clark won the 800 in 2:00.79. The American high school record is 2:00.07 by Kim Gallagher in 1982. The American record of 1:56.40 is held by Jearl Miles-Clark, set in 1999.

Lopez Lomong won the 1500 in 3:41.68, a time that pales next to Hicham El Guerrouj's world record of 3:26.00 (1998) and Bernard Lagat's American record of 3:29.30 (2005). Alan Webb, the American record-holder in the mile at 3:46.91 (2007), qualified in the 1500 prelims at 3:42.35, but apparently did not run in the finals. Webb could not even qualify for the U. S. team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. A high schooler-Andrew Springer-has run 3:45.46 for the 1500 this year.

Enough examples of what is not happening. American track and field is not drawing any attention and media coverage because its athletes cannot compete at a level deserving of more attention and coverage.

If the performances by our athletes get any more underwhelming, track and field will not only enter a low point in American history, but may camp out there in the extended future.

One thing is for sure: Jeremy Wariner and Alan Webb have talent and conditioning but no one will ever figure that out unless they step onto the track to compete and, once there, believe they can win again.

Watching track and field in America right now is like giving the barn a fresh coat and then watching the paint dry. Even worse, track and field right now has the personality of an ashtray, and will soon be the butt of too many jokes among world's elite performers.
